With its 27th season just round the corner, hunt has begun for fresh faces!

We don’t really know whether casting director, Martin Booker, was having a tough time, or was having a blast out there!

Time and again, gen-next has been compelled to go for a download of this amazing show without even thinking twice, attributing to the unique format and presentation. As The Real World MTV gave a casting call in Lincoln, there was a bizarre response from the youngsters, which is far interesting than one could even imagine.

We had Brittney Miller, 21, hailing from Omaha, who believes that since she is dealing with some crazy issues in her life, she has every right to be a part of the show too!

If that caused a wide grin to sweep off your mouth, read this one; Rachel Lucas, 24, coming from Plattsmouth wants to be included among participants, as that would give her a job at least for a while, and she would no longer be unemployed!

I really wonder how the casting director would have dealt with all those critters out there. Hope he didn’t have to call for an ambulance in the wake of a nervous breakdown!

Yet, as per the demands of the tradition, proceedings ought to be carried out in the routine manner.

Seven lucky ones in their twenties are to be chosen, who would be making it to fame, and an experience worth cherishing.

While the reasons cited above cause to laugh at the nonchalant behavior of youngsters, there were a few, who seemed to be level-headed.

For instance, Marshall Freeman, 22, wants to be on board, as he wants to change the mindset of people with regards to Midwesterners.

Kudos to the lad, who thinks so profoundly at such a young age!

Hope some of those genuine dreams do get materialized, and the upcoming season heralds a new beginning for the show!

This channel started with the sole intention of popularizing music, and it accomplished that with a big BANG!

Often, there are counterviews that it deviated from its path; but you cannot deny the fact that its content was enticing enough to make it celebrate its 30th Anniversary on August 1, 2011.

Coming to its content, you cannot forget The Real World, a show that is nothing less than a jewel that escalated the ladder of popularity. It carved its own niche, so much so that we don’t mind going for its download. The show, The Real World was not just another reality show that saw the light of day. In fact, it delved much deeper than the apparent repercussions that were felt by one and all.

It’s all about a journey that started way back in 1992, and skyrocketed to emerge as the longest-running reality series in the history of MTV! What is it that binds us to the show after all?

It’s certainly not those brickbats between the inmates; it’s actually the mélange of views of a group of youngsters, who have their own perspective of looking at things be it politics, sexuality, or anything else under the sun.

Those individuals actually stood in front of us holding a mirror in their hands and saying, ‘Come on buddy, have a look at yourself’. It has given me more than a dozen moments to introspect and look at issues with a different angle.

With the San Francisco season that aired in 1994, still lingering in my mind, I think one of the principal contributions of the show was towards eliciting positive response and rekindling awareness with regards to AIDS and HIV-positive persons.

Well, kudos to the show that is undoubtedly the avant-garde in the genre of reality TV!

And, the biggest buzz is that it is not being renewed for one season. Now, don’t let that statement break your heart!
Well, the news is that it‘s being renewed for two more seasons!!

Yes guys, the show that paved the way for reality TV shows, making it a genre that sees dedicated fan following now, would continue to be on-air, much to the delight of its viewers!

This is certainly great news for the fans of The Real World MTV, which is now the longest running show on TV! It would be right to claim that this show has been one of the most constant factors behind the changing face of the American youth.
All of you must have known that the show was renewed for season 26 long back. But, who would have expected two more seasons? I fact, I was pleasantly surprised when the news of this renewal trickled in.

Jonathan Murray, one of the creators of this show, was absolutely buzzing with elation when he declared this show as the one that has brought in a veritable revolution in the thought processes of the viewers.

This show has continued to elude an expiry date as millions of ardent viewers, including you and me, have been hooked on to it since its inception. That was way back in 1992!

It’s time to rejoice guys as you don’t see a show entering its third decade every other day.
